Terms of Service — Verifreta

the service

Verifreta (“we,” “us”) provides a software service at https://verifreta.com that helps freight brokers review carrier identity and related desk information before booking. Features may include carrier lookups, monitoring of carriers you choose to track, document checks you upload, team workspaces, and reference guides. The service is an aid for professional desk use. It is not a government filing system, not an insurance product, and not legal advice. Using the service does not create a broker-carrier agreement or an official agency determination.

accounts and access

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your organization. We may suspend or limit access for unpaid invoices, expired trials, abuse, or risk to the service. Trial access, if offered, lasts for the period stated at signup (currently 7 days) unless we state otherwise at checkout.

your responsibilities

You must confirm operating authority, insurance, and any other booking requirements using official sources and your own load file. Public records can lag, omit fields, or change. Do not treat a Verifreta report as a substitute for those checks. You are responsible for how you use the information in booking decisions.

acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no automated scraping beyond ordinary desk use, no attempts to bypass security or plan limits, no uploading malware, and no submitting other people’s non-public personal data into forms that are not designed for that purpose. Do not present Verifreta output as an official government determination. Do not use name search results to build bulk marketing lists of carriers.

plans and billing

Limited public lookup tools on the marketing site may be free. Paid desk features are offered on a subscription basis as described on the pricing page (currently $49 per month after any trial). Subscriptions are month-to-month unless we state otherwise before you pay. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we expressly offer a refund. You may cancel according to the billing controls in your account; access continues through the paid period already purchased unless we say otherwise.

data and content you provide

You retain rights to content you upload (such as certificates). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service to your organization. We use secure services to host and operate the product. Do not upload content you do not have rights to use.

accuracy and availability

We work to keep the service available and useful, but we do not warrant that reports are complete, current, or sufficient for any particular booking. External data sources and networks can fail or change without notice. The service is provided as-is and as-available.

limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Verifreta is not liable for lost loads, cargo claims, downtime, or booking decisions made using the service. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

changes and termination

We may update these terms or the service features from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. We may suspend or end the service or your access with notice when reasonably practical. Provisions that by nature should survive (including limitations and acceptable use) survive termination.
